Freedom Unleashed

Freedom Unleashed is a project that aims to raise awareness and empowering young people to claim their civil rights including freedom of speech, freedom of expression and peaceful protest. The project used several methods to achieve the goals, such as capacity building and utilizing art and digital creative medium as form of campaign communication among younger generations.

This project initiated from 2023 and one of the part of WeRise movement that are supported by CIVICUS Global Alliance.

Good Practices and Achievement:

1. 350.000 Social media audience reach

2. 135 digital collaborative video has been posted

3. 93 youth from 18 Provinces in Indonesia has been capacitated knowledge related to civil liberties issues and art creative campaign

4. 1 digital book on young people and civil liberties has been design to publish

5. 1 Consultative meetings with youth organizations and participants to discuss digital campaign practices to promote civil liberties

6. 1 art exhibition called freedom artssembly has been held. This exhibition displayed 37 artwork from our participants with the theme “Youth Voice on human rights and Civic Space”

7. 1 Zine book has been design to be launch
